La Bombona Diving Koh Tao Terms & Conditions
At La Bombona Diving, we’ll dive deep — literally and figuratively — to make your time with us amazing from start to finish.
Still, even in paradise, the ocean has a mind of its own.
So before you jump in, take a quick look at our Terms & Conditions.
La Bombona Diving – Diving Terms
At La Bombona Diving, your safety and enjoyment are always our top priorities. Scuba diving is a safe and life-changing experience, but like many adventure sports, it carries a certain level of risk.
By signing up for any of our diving courses or fun dives, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks — including those related to travel by boat or natural conditions that are beyond our control.
By choosing to dive with us, you release La Bombona Diving, its partners, agents, and staff from any liability for personal injury, death, or property loss that may occur during your participation in any diving activity, course, or trip, or while using any related facilities or equipment.
Medical Requirements
Before starting your diving course, you’ll be asked to complete a standard diving medical questionnaire.
If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, you must be evaluated and cleared by a licensed diving doctor in Thailand before participating in any water activities.
Alternatively, you may bring a medical certificate from your home country stating that you are fit to dive. In that case, Thai law still requires that the certificate be verified and signed by a licensed Thai doctor before you start your course.
Don’t worry — our team will help you arrange the local medical visit. The cost is small (between 200 and 500 THB, depending on the type of assessment) and ensures that you meet all health and safety requirements.
If you cannot provide the necessary medical clearance, you will not be able to dive, and unfortunately, we cannot refund any deposits already paid.
Weather and Island Life
Please note that certain factors — such as weather conditions, sea state, or local circumstances — may affect our daily diving schedule.
As small tropical islands, Koh Tao and Koh Lipe are naturally influenced by the ocean’s rhythm.
La Bombona Diving reserves the right to modify or cancel dives, courses, or trips whenever we believe that safety could be affected.
Equipment Use
All standard diving equipment is included in the price of your course or fun dives.
However, if any equipment is lost or damaged due to misuse or negligence, we will need to charge the replacement cost at fair market value.
Safety and Conduct
For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask all divers to follow the instructions and guidance of our instructors and staff at all times — both in and out of the water.
La Bombona Diving – Booking & Payment Terms
To confirm your diving course or fun dive trip, a deposit of 1,000 THB is required for any non-professional activity, and 5,000 THB for professional programs such as the Divemaster course.
The remaining balance can be paid upon your arrival at the dive center.
Please note that your reservation is only guaranteed once the deposit has been received.
We offer several easy ways to make your deposit —
You can book directly through our website, or contact our team via WhatsApp o Instagram to arrange everything and start planning the best part of your trip to Thailand!
La Bombona Diving – Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled activity.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start time will unfortunately result in no refund of the deposit.
If you don’t show up on the day of your activity and haven’t contacted us to cancel, the full deposit will be forfeited.
We’re always happy to help you reschedule whenever possible — just get in touch with our team in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
La Bombona Diving – Dive Course Changes
For the Open Water course, we have a refund table that shows how much of your deposit can be returned depending on when you notify us that you cannot continue the course.
In practice, we rarely need to use it, as this situation doesn’t happen very often!
All divers must complete the diving medical form before starting any course.
If you answer “Yes” to any question on the form and have not been signed off by a licensed diving doctor in Thailand (or brought a valid certificate from home for local verification), we may not be able to allow you to start your course. In this case, the deposit cannot be refunded.
La Bombona Diving reserves the right to rearrange the order of any itinerary, or to cancel or substitute elements of the schedule without notice if local conditions require changes.
Our instructors and boat staff may prohibit participation in dives at their discretion if divers do not respect ecological rules, safe diving practices, or our guidelines.
This includes, but is not limited to: handling marine life, consuming alcohol or any other type of drugs (even if legal) before or between dives, or failing to follow internationally recognised safe diving standards.
If participation is prohibited, no refund will be issued for missed dives.
And that’s it! All the important details you need to know.
These rules are here to keep you, our instructors, our team, and the marine environment safe, and to make sure that everyone can enjoy diving to the fullest.
From all of us at La Bombona Diving — welcome to Koh Tao or Koh Lipe! and get ready for an amazing underwater adventure!
